LEONETTI FRANCESCA
(syllabus)
The main aim of the course is the contrastive paremiologic study of the translations in Italian language of a representative corpus gathered by La Celestino and The Quijote. The retrieval of the sources and The lexicology study of the proverbs will be the first phase of a work that wants to solicit, according to a diacronic approach , a critical reflection about the results of the translating experiences stratified along the centuries and to develop a dominion of the lexicographical materials and of the corporation. These resources will give to the students the right instruments to operate consciously and efficiently with some translation proofs compared to the analyzed material. The new experience will be supported by the discussion on methodological problems and by a reflection of the act of translating as linguistic cultural mediation, in order to consolidate the necessary skills to act in a coherent way in front of the transcultural problems.
