The course addresses the contemporary theoretical debate on film and media, with a special focus on issues regarding the viewer's experience, especially for what concerns the topics of embodiment and emotion.
The first part of the course will take into account main trends in contemporary film and media theory. In the second part of the class it will be addressed the issue of cinematic emotion following a cognitive perspective.
